Who, What and Why

Welcome and thanks for your interest! Creative-Journal.Com has been long in the making. I began journaling by about 9 years of age and remain faithful to this wonderful process. When I authored, "Color Me Happy! An Approach to Expressive Arts for Children", journaling was my favorite art form to promote as an effective tool for greater insight into oneself. Singing the praises of words on paper when I lectured was one of the easier things I've ever done.

I believe there is great power in this form of introspection. And age is never a factor. Children and adults alike grow when they journal whether they're conscious of it or not.

Creating this site seemed a natural step in my endeavors to encourage personal responsiblity and growth. The mini-courses I've written encourage focus on this as well in specific areas of life. I am told they are very effective!

I spend my days writing full time for a living in the beautiful lush setting of Vancouver Island, Canada. I love to watercolor paint, draw and try all kinds of things. You can see some of my artwork and read some other writing clips if you like at My Professional Site.

I am married to the best guy in the world, a fellow writer and artist. He hosts Space-Guy.Com. We live with our four fantastic kids who are all artistic (go figure). Add to this, six cats and you have our busy home.

I invite you to write to me about any thoughts, opinions and comments. I am always looking for ways to improve on my work.

Happy Journaling!
