This technique is especially helpful when you have a whirlwind of thoughts swirling around in your mind with no real rhyme nor reason. It can help you get organized and bring clarification to you at those times when there's a lot happening in your life all at once. You can also use this to unlock your ingenuity and creativity when problem solving.

One of the best approaches is to start in the middle of a new page with a beginning point such as Me or Now. Then you draw lines out for certain areas of your life that are prevelant at the time such as work, household, kids, finances, etc.. Like this:
